THE CORPORATION'S PURPOSE IS TO MAKE DOWNTOWN WASHINGTON DC A CLEANER, SAFER AND MORE ATTRACTIVE AREA, AND THEREBY TO PROMOTE THE COMMON INTEREST OF AREA BUSINESSES, BY ENGAGING IN THE EMPLOYMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF SAFETY, HOSPITALITY, CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE WORKERS. THESE WORKERS PROVIDE SERVICES TO IMPROVE BUSINESS CONDITIONS IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, PARTICULARLY THE DOWNTOWN BID AREA.
