THE PURPOSE OF SAMUEL AND SOLOMON CHARITIES, INC. IS AS FOLLOWS: THE CHARITABLE GOAL OF SAMUEL AND SOLOMON CHARITIES, INC. (THE "ORGANIZATION") IS TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE TO THE VERY POOR AND DISTRESSED MEMBERS OF SOCIETY IN THE FORM OF CONTRIBUTIONS OR GRANTS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS (DEFINED BELOW) FOR THE PURPOSE OF HELPING PEOPLE BETTER THEMSELVES, THEIR FAMILIES, AND THEIR COMMUNITY. LOGAN COUNTY IS A RURAL AREA LOCATED IN SOUTHERN KENTUCKY. AS IS COMMON FOR MANY RURAL COMMUNITIES IN THE UNITED STATES, LOGAN COUNTY AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS FACE WIDESPREAD DRUG ABUSE RELATED TO THE OPIOID CRISIS IN THIS COUNTRY. THIS DRUG ADDICTION EPIDEMIC HAS HAD A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY, BURDENING THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, BU
