THE MISSION OF THE NEW MEXICO YOUNG AMERICA FOOTBALL LEAGUE ("YAFL") IS TO PROVIDE A SAFE, AFFORDABLE, HIGH QUALITY YOUTH FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADING EXPERIENCE FOR THE CHILDREN OF NEW MEXICO. IN DOING SO, THE NEW MEXICO YOUNG AMERICA FOOTBALL LEAGUE PROVIDES AN EDUCATIONAL AND SPORTSMANSHIP BASED PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AGES SIX TO FOURTEEN YEARS. THEY STRIVE TO PROVIDE AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE CHILDREN ARE ENCOURAGED TO BECOME THE BEST STUDENT ATHLETES THEY CAN BECOME WHILE DEMONSTRATING OUTSTANDING SPORTSMANSHIP AND CHARACTER. YAFL IS COMMITTED TO THE CHILDREN, FAMILIES AND THE COMMUNITY SERVED, PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT FOR EACH PARTICIPANT. BY PROVIDING SPORTS AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, YAFL ENCOURAGES THE DEVELOPMENT OF FINE MOTOR SKILLS, PROMOTES A POSITIVE ATTITUDE THAT CAN LEAD TO INCREASED SELF-CONFIDENCE.

PROVIDE SUPPORT TO VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THE BOUNDRIES OF THE WESTERN NEW YORK SECTION AND TO FUND PROGRAMS SUPPORTING OR SERVING YOUTH, MILITARY AND DIVERSITY IN GOLF.

TO PROVIDE RECREATIONAL YOUTH SOCCER FOR APPROXIMATELY 500 CHILDREN AGES 6 TO 17.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy the organized recreational activity, sport or game of their choice. These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local or regional level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.

IN DOING SO, THE CLUB AIMS TO DEVELOP INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM SKILLS WHILE STRESSING SPORTSMANSHIP, TEAMWORK AND FAIR PLAY IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT.
