MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to make available to members and their guests and facilities for recreational activities, sports and games. Also included are social clubs that provide opportunities for people to meet and socialize with their peers at dances, parties, picnics, barbecues and other companionable events; and special interest clubs which enable people to share hobbies or other interests with individuals with those same interests.

MISSION:

PROVIDE AND TEACH THE FUNDAMENTALS OF YOUTH TACKLE FOOTBALL THROUGH ADULT LEADERSHIP. REGISTERED APPROXIMATELY 250 BOYS FROM THE AGES OF 8 TO 16 TO PLAY TACKLE FOOTBALL.

HAS BEEN FOUNDED, BY ITS SIX D DIRECTORS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING CHILDREN AGES FIVE THROUGH EIGHTEEN WITH RELIGIOUS, EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL OPPRTUNITIES IN THE SUMMER MONTHS OF JULY AND AUGUST. JEWISH YOUTH WILL BENEFIT FROM THE SUMMER VACATION PROGRAMS, AS THEY WILL INVITE COMPETITION AND CREATIVITY AMONGST YOUNGSTERS IN ATHLETICS, INTELLECT, ARTS AND LEADERSHIP.

SINCE 1975, DSB HAS PROVIDED A PLACE FOR BASEBALL PLAYERS (MIDDLE SCHOOL AGE AND UP) TO PLAY THE GAME THEY LOVE. STARTED FOR KIDS TOO OLD TO PLAY LITTLE LEAGUE, THE PROGRAM HAS GROWN TO INCLUDE AN EARLY SPRING MIDDLE SCHOOL LEAGUE (6TH-8TH GRADE), SPRING LEAGUES (AGES 13-15 AND 15-18), A SUMMER WOOD BAT LEAGUE (AGES 18-35), FALL LEAGUES (AGES 13-15 AND 15-18) AND YEAR-ROUND TRAVEL BASEBALL TEAMS THAT CALL DSB HOME. OVER 1,600 PLAYERS PARTICIPATE IN A GAME OF BASEBALL IN ONE OF DSB'S PROGRAMS EACH YEAR.
