MISSION:

TAYLOR MILL SWIM CLUB PROMOTES HEALTH AND WELLNESS THROUGH A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES INCLUDING SWIMMING, TENNIS, VOLLEYBALL AND SWIM LESSONS.

MISSION:

OVERSEES THE YOUTH SOCCER PROGRAM FOR THE PALATINE PARK DISTRICT, WHICH CONSISTS OF 125 HOUSE TEAMS AND 35 TRAVEL TEAMS THAT ARE TRAINED ON SKILL DEVELOPMENT, GAME STRATEGY, AND COMPETITIVE PLAY.

MISSION:

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS IN THE PERRY HALL, MD AREA. THE OPPORTUNITIES ARE PRIMARILY ATHLETIC AND EDUCATIONAL IN NATURE. THE COUNCIL SERVES ABOUT 15,000 PARTICIPANTS ANNUALLY.

MAINTAINING WILDLIFE HABITAT BY CLEANING OUT LAKES, REPAIRING ROADS, SPREADING FERTILIZER, MOWING AND UPKEEP ON CABIN. TO DEFEND FROM WASTE THE NATURAL RESOURCES OF THE COUNTRY.

IT IS A BOTANICAL GARDEN AND HISTORICAL SITE ON THE UNITED STATES/CANADIAN BORDER DESIGNED TO SIGNIFY ONGOING PEACE BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES.

Coaching, access to a swimming pool or other facilities, sports equipment, and officials for competitions are generally included.

MISSION:

NORMAN B. BARR CAMP IS USED FOR CHURCH CONFERENCES, FOR CHILDREN WHO ORDINARILY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND A SUMMER CAMP, AND FOR FAMILIES. THE CAMP HAS COTTAGES WHICH ARE RENTED TO THOSE WHO TAKE PART IN THE CAMP PROGRAMS. MOST OF THE CHILDREN ATTENDING CAMP ARE FROM THE INNER CITY. BOARD MEMBERS ARE EXPECTED TO HELP WITH THE CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE CAMP. MOST OF THE FUNDS RECEIVED ARE FROM NET RENTALS AND DONATIONS. THERE IS A CHAPEL ON THE GROUNDS WHICH IS USED BOTH DURING THE WEEK AND FOR SUNDAY SERVICES.
