SUPPORTED THE TOP AGE-GROUP ATHLETES IN OUR ASSOCIATION BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THEM TO REPRESENT THE ASSOCIATION IN COMPETITION AGAINST TOP ATHLETES FROM THE OTHER ASSOCIATIONS WITHIN THE 14 WESTERN STATES, INCLUDING HAWAII AND ALASKA. ALSO INCLUDES SUPPORT FOR REGIONAL CHALLENGE MEET, CHAMPIONSHIP MEET, POOL COST REIMBURSEMENT AND VARIOUS SMALL AGE-GROUP RELATED EXPENSES.INLAND EMPIRE SWIMMING OWNS OPERATES THE ELECTRONIC TIMING EQUIPMENT USED AT VARIOUS USA SWIMMING SANCTIONED INVITATIONAL AND CHAMPIONSHIP SWIM MEETS HELD WITHIN ITS GEOGRAPHICAL BORDERS, THE ACQUISITION, MAINTENANCE, RENTAL, AND REPLACEMENT OF THIS EQUIPMENT IS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN ACCURATE RESULTS FROM COMPETITION FOR THE MORE THAN 1,000 ATHLETES INVOLVED.

THE CLUB PROVIDES SWIM AND TENNIS ACTIVITIES INCLUDING SWIM AND TENNIS LESSONS AND TEAMS. THE CLUB ORGANIZES TENNIS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES RELATED TO SWIMMING AND TENNIS. THERE ARE 250 FAMILY MEMBERSHIPS.

THE UNITED STATES OPTIMIST DINGHY ASSOCIATION (USODA) WAS FORMED TO INTRODUCE AND EDUCATE CHILDREN ABOUT SAILING. THE OPTIMIST CLASS ARE USED FOR THIS PURPOSE AND ARE DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR CHILDREN. THE USODA IS A NATIONWIDE MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION THAT SPONSORS, SACTIONS AND OVERSEES THE ACTIVITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION. THERE ARE OVER 400,000 OPTIMISTS CLASS BOATS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.

THE SOUTH EAST METRO SHARKS SWIM CLUB PROVIDES INSTRUCTIONAL TRAINING AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM SERVICES TO YOUTH BETWEEN AGES 6 AND 20 IN THE SOUTHEAST METROPOLITAN AREA OF ST. PAUL, MN. IN 1991, A MASTERS PROGRAM WAS ADDED TO PROVIDE THE SAME SERVICES TO ADULTS. CURRENTLY, OVER 225 PEOPLE PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM.
