TO EDUCATE FIREFIGHTERS AND THE PUBLIC ABOUT FIRE SAFETY AND THE DANGERS OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES; TO CONDUCT, REPORT, AND SPONSOR PROGRAMS OF PUBLIC INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM FIREFIGHTERS' RECORDS OF EXPOSURE TO HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AND INFECTIOUS DISEASES.

THE DEPARTMENT PROVIDES AN ALL HAZARDS RESPONSE WHICH INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO FIRE SUPPRESSION, EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE, MARINE RESPONSE, RESCUE, AND HAZMAT CALLS FOR SERVICES TO APPROXIMATELY 3,000 RESIDENTS IN THE TEXAS CITIES OF KEMAH, CLEAR LAKE SHORES, AND ADJACENT UNINCORPORATED AREAS.
