DMAT IS ESSENTIALLY DESIGNED TO BE A RAPID-RESPONSE ELEMENT THAT DEPLOYS TO DISASTER SITES WITH SUFFICIENT SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT TO SUSTAIN THEMSELVES AND CARE FOR PATIENTS FOR A PERIOD OF 72 HOURS.
