ADMINISTERS THE CAPITAL AREA TEEN COURT AND PRETRIAL SERVICES PROGRAM TO ADOLESCENTS AND/OR ADULTS WHO ARE CHARGED WITH A CRIME IN WAKE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO TRADITIONAL JUVENILE AND ADULT CRIMINAL SENTENCING, DETENTION AND INCARCERATION AT SIGNIFICANTLY LESS EXPENSE. RECIDIVISM RATES HAVE REMAINED CONSISTENTLY LOWER THAN OTHERWISE CHARGED INDIVIDUALS WITH NO INCREASED RISK TO PUBLIC SAFETY.
