GATEKEEPERS CORPORATION IS A HIGHLY REGARDED RE-ENTRY PROGRAM HELPING INMATES AND EX-OFFENDERS IMPROVE THEIR LIVES. THE ORGANIZATION SERVES ABOUT 350 INDIVIDUALS ANNUALLY, PROVIDING INSIDE THE WALLS MENTORING, IMMEDIATE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE UPON RELEASE, AND ITS THREE-MONTH BUSINESS OF LIVING PROGRAM FOR THOSE EX-OFFENDERS WHO WANT TO BUILD A LIFE THEY NEVER HAD.

MISSION:

THE UPSTATE MEDIATION CENTER IS A COMMUNITY BASED NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION FOUNDED IN 1999 THAT PROVIDES HIGH-QUALITY, AFFORDABLE MEDIATION SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND BUSINESSES IN CONFLICT IN THE UPSTATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA. MEDIATION MAY BE MANDATED, REQUESTED BY EITHER PARTY IN DISPUTE, OR REFERRED BY PROFESSIONALS OR INDIVIDUALS IN THE COMMUNITY, WITH THE GOAL TO ASSIST THE PARTIES IN REACHING A RESOLUTION IN A TIMELY AND COST-EFFECTIVE MANNER. MEDIATION SERVICES INCLUDE FAMILY, COMMUNITY, CIVIL, PROBATE, MAGISTRATE, AND POLICE MEDIATION.

THE CHICAGO BIBLE SOCIETY IS A MINISTRY THAT DISTRIBUTES BIBLE'S TO PRISONS, HOSPITALS, AND SHELTERS AND PROMOTES INCREASED READING OF THE BIBLE.

POETIC JUSTIC INC IS DEDICATED TO BRINGING POETRY AND WRITING TO INCARCERATED WOMEN. THROUGH OUR 5 WEEK CLASSES AT DIFFERENT PRISONS AND JAILS, POETIC JUSTIC USES A PERSONAL CURRICULUM TO COVER THE FOUNDATIONS OF POETRY INSTRUCTION IN AN INTENSIVE WRITING WORKSHOP. POETIC JUSTIC ENCOURAGES WOMEN TO FIND THEIR OWN VALUE THROUGH WORDS. THIS RESULTS IN A SENSE OF SELF WORTH, WHICH LEADS TO HOPE, WHICH LEADS TO POSITIVE CHANGE.
