Also included are organizations that preserve and manage coastal lands including shorelines, coastal waters and lands extending inland from the shore which affect coastal waters; bays, lakes, rivers, wetlands, estuaries, watersheds and other aquatic habitats.

SOLAR SCHOOLS-DONATE SOLAR ELECTRICITY SYSTEMS TO SCHOOLS FOR USE AS EDUCATIONAL TOOLS. THE SOLAR ELECTRICITY SYSTEMS ARE INSTALLED IN HIGH PROFILE LOCATIONS AT EACH SCHOOL WITH HIGH VISIBILITY AND INSTALLED BY CERTIFIED SOLAR INSTALLERS AND CERTIFIED ELECTRICIANS. SOLAR DATA IS COLLECTED AT EACH SCHOOL FOR USE FOR ALL OF THE SCHOOLS AS TEACHING TOOLS. WE DONATE DATA COLLECTION SYSTEMS FOR USE IN CLASSROOMS AND PROVIDE HELP WITH MAINTAINING THE PV SYSTEMS AT EACH SCHOOL. WE PROVIDE TEACHER TRAINING TO SCHOOLS WITHOUT CHARGE OR COST TO DISTRICTS, SCHOOLS, OR TEACHERS. MOST OF OUR CURRENT WORK IS IN ILLINOIS BUT WE HAVE BEEN WORKING IN OHIO, KENTUCKY, WASHINGTON DC, CALIFORNIA, TEXAS, WASHINGTON (STATE), PENNSYLVANIA, INDIANA, IOWA, MICHIGAN, NEW MEXICO, LOUISIANA, MAINE AND FLORIDA.

EARTHWORMS MISSION IS TO PROMOTE RECYCLING IN THE WORKPLACE. WE ACCOMPLISH THIS BY PROVIDING A COLLECTION SERVICE THAT IS EASY FOR FIRST TIME RECYCLERS TO IMPLEMENT. ALSO, BY REDUCING BARRIERS TO RECYCLING THROUGH FRIENDLY ASSISTANCE, FLEXIBLE PROGRAMS AND AFFORDABILITY, EARTHWORM ENABLES SMALL BUSINESSES AND OTHERS WHO ARE UNDERSERVED BY THE PRIVATE SECTOR TO ESTABLISH OFFICE RECYCLING PROGRAMS. EARTHWORM ALSO RECOGNIZES THAT THERE ARE MANY OTHER LOCAL GROUPS WHO ARE WORKING TOWARD SIMILAR GOALS OF CONSERVING NATURAL RESOURCES. EARTHWORM FURTHER PROMOTES RECYCLING THROUGH COLLABORATION, MENTORING AND DIRECT SUPPORT TO THESE GROUPS.
