THE AFRICAN LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION IS A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT SUPPORTS TRANSFORMATIVE CHANGE IN AFRICA BY DEVELOPING AND CONNECTING THE CONTINENT'S NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS.

AFRICAN LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION STAFF PROVIDED SUPPORT TO ALA GRADUATES AND MASTERCARD FOUNDATION SCHOLARS ATTENDING UNIVERSITIES ACROSS THE U.S., CANADA, AND COSTA RICA. THEY PROVIDED REGULAR ONE-ON-ONE PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT TO FIRST YEAR STUDENTS AND MATCHED OVER 90% OF FRESHMEN WHO OPTED IN TO THE FIRST YEAR TRANSITION PROGRAM WITH A LOCAL HOST FAMILY. THEY MANAGED THE FRESHMAN ORIENTATION PROGRAM, OVERSEEING FRESHMEN ORIENTATIONS HOSTED AROUND THE U.S. THEY PLANNED AND EXECUTED CHAPTER EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE U.S. IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE REGIONAL CHAPTERS.LED THE ANNUAL BARAZA PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE, PROVIDING PROGRAMMING AND INTERNSHIP AND JOB PREPARATION FOR ALA ALUMNI AND MCF SCHOLARS.
