PATIENT CARE TEXAS SCOTTISH RITE HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN IS ONE OF THE NATION'S LEADING PEDIATRIC CENTERS FOR THE TREATMENT OF ORTHOPEDIC CONDITIONS, CERTAIN RELATED ARTHRITIC AND NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS AND LEARNING DISORDERS, SUCH AS DYSLEXIA. PATIENTS RECEIVE TREATMENT REGARDLESS OF THE FAMILY'S ABILITY TO PAY. THE ORTHOPEDICS PROGRAM INCLUDES OUTPATIENT CLINIC VISITS AND INPATIENT STAYS FOR THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF SUCH CONDITIONS AS SCOLIOSIS, CLUBFOOT, DISLOCATED HIP, LEGG-PERTHES, LIMB-LENGTH DIFFERENCES AND LIMB DEFICIENCIES, HAND DIFFERENCES AND SPORTS INJURIES. EDUCATION TEXAS SCOTTISH RITE HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN FUNCTIONS AS A PREMIER TEACHING INSTITUTION, PROVIDING COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO ORTHOPEDIC RESIDENTS AND POST-GRADUATE ORTHOPEDIC FELLOWS. IN ADDITION , THE HOSPITAL CONTRIBUTES TO THE EDUCATION OF ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS BY PROVIDING CLINICAL EXPERIENCE AND DIDACTIC EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS AS WELL AS CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS.
