FOR OVER 46,000 PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS, HCS ENSURED THAT STUDENTS HAD ACCESS TO QUALITY HEALTH SERVICES BY OPERATING 7 HEALTH CLINICS AND PROVIDING A SCHOOL NURSE AT 103 SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE PARISH. THESE PROFESSIONALS LOGGED 60,943 STUDENT ENCOUNTERS. THOSE ENCOUNTERS INCLUDED VISION SCREENING, HEARING SCREENING, SCHOOL-NURSE AND HEALTH CENTER VISITS, INDIVIDUAL HEALTH ASSESSMENTS AND PLANS, FLU VACCINES, DILATED EYE EXAMS, AND DENTAL CARE. MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES WERE AVAILABLE AT ALL 7 HEALTH CENTERS.
