THE MINNESOTA HIMSS (HEALTHCARE INFORMATION AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS SOCIETY) CHAPTER IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO PROMOTING A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF HEALTH CARE INFORMATION AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS. THE MN CHAPTER IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY INFORMATION AND ACTIVITIES TO OUR GROWING MEMBERSHIP, CURRENTLY COMPRISED OF OVER 1300 HEALTHCARE INFORMATION PROFESSIONALS FROM ACROSS THIS STATE (AND BEYOND). WHILE OUR FOCUS IS ON TOPICS OF INTEREST TO OUR DIVERSE MEMBERSHIP, WE ALSO DEDICATE OUR EFFORTS TOWARDS ADVOCACY, RHIOS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND SCHOLARSHIP. RECENTLY, THE CHAPTER ACHIEVED PRESIDENTIAL ADVOCATE STATUS - THE FIRST CHAPTER EVER TO DO THIS! THIS IS ESPECIALLY EXCITING SINCE OUR ADVOCACY PROGRAM BEGAN JUST SIX MONTHS EARLIER.

PARTICIPATING IN THE NATIONAL HIMSS CONFERENCE. HOSTING NETWORKING EVENT WITH ALL ATTENDING STATE MEMBERS. BOARD MEMBER COLLABORATING WITH OTHER STATE BOARD MEMBERS ON BEST PRACTICES.
