PROGRAMS PROVIDE SERVICES TO VETERANS IN THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT. THE MAJOR EMPHASIS IS 1) OPERATION OF HOMES FOR THE BRAVE, A TRANSITIONAL LIVING FACILITY THAT PROVIDES CASE MANAGEMENT THAT WORKS WITH CLINICIANS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN AFFAIRS OR ANY MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT AGENCY THAT CAN PROVIDE THE TREATMENT, LIFE SKILLS COUNSELING AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING TO VETERANS, 2) OPERATION OF MADARAS HOUSE FOR WOMEN VETERANS, A TRANSITIONAL LIVING FACILITY THAT PROVIDES CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES AND ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED SERVICES TO FEMALE VETERANS AND THEIR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 5 3) OPERATION OF WALDORF HOUSE, A SUPPORTIVE PERMANENT HOUSING PROGRAM 4) HOMES FOR THE BRAVE- WEST HAVEN , TWO HOUSES IN WEST HAVEN, CT FOR MALE VETERANS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS WHICH PROVIDES HOUSING AND ACCESS TO THE AGENCIES OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDING MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT AND 5) A NON-RESIDENTIAL ANNEX IN DOWNTOWN BRIDGEPORT THAT PROVIDES ACCESS TO ALL VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS TO OUR CLINICAL PROGRAM, VOCATIONAL PROGRAM AND VETERANS SERVICE CENTER.
