THE NORTH CAROLINA RESTAURANT & LODGING ASSOCIATION IS A PHILANTHROPIC ORGANIZATION THAT SUPPORTS THE NORTH CAROLINA HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY'S SERVICE TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH EDUCATION, COMMUNITY SERVICE, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND PROMOTION OF CAREER OPPORTUNITIES. NCRLA FOUNDATION WORKS TO ATTRACT, DEVELOP, SUPPORT, AND RETAIN A CAREER-ORIENTED PROFESSIONAL WORKFORCE FOR THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY. WE PROVIDE GRANTS TO WORKERS IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY WHO FACE FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS. WE SUPPORT CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMMING IN NC CLASSROOMS WITH THE GOAL OF INTRODUCING STUDENTS TO CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AND FACILITATING ON-THE-JOB WORK EXPERIENCE IN NC RESTAURANTS AND HOTELS.

WE ARE AN ACCREDITED STATE CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL CHILDREN'S ALLIANCE. AS THE STATEWIDE LEADER IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CHILD ABUSE, WE CONNECT LOCAL CACS AND PARTNERS WITH TOOLS, RESOURCES, AND SUPPORT NEEDED TO PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE RESPONSE TO THE CHILDREN AND SUPPORTIVE CAREGIVERS IMPACTED BY ABUSE.

THE MUSEUM OF THE CAPE FEAR HISTORICAL COMPLEX FOUNDATION, INC'S PURPOSE IS TO FOSTER AND PROMOTE THE GROWTH, PROGRESS, AND GENERAL WELFARE OF THE MUSEUM OF THE CAPE FEAR HISTORICAL COMPLEX AT FAYETTEVILLE, NC (A REGIONAL BRANCH OF THE NC MUSEUM OF HISTORY). THE FOUNDATION SOLICITS AND RECEIVES GRANTS, DONATIONS, GIFTS AND BEQUESTS TO ASSIST THE MUSEUM IN THE EXECUTION OF ITS PROGRAMS. THE MUSEUM COLLECTS, PRESERVES, AND INTERPRETS THE CULTURAL HISTORY OF SOUTHERN NC THROUGH EXHIBITS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING. THE HISTORICAL COMPLEX IS COMPOSED OF THE MUSEUM OF THE CAPE FEAR, 1897 POE HOUSE, AND ARSENAL PARK. THE MUSEUM RAISES PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE PAST AND ITS INFLUENCE ON THE PRESENT.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.
